OUR STORY

Lizette always had an inner spirit to help out those in need. Officially known as the Oaks of Righteousness Orphanage, she established her organization in 2016 with the intention of offering a helping hand to children who have no one to turn to. She imagined having a community one day where they can be happy and have a carefree childhood. In late 2016, Lizette pushed to have Oaks of Righteousness be recognized as an official charity by the government, and in 2017, she began the efforts to fundraise for the orphanage project.

Oaks of Righteousness upholds three key values:

  • Safety

  • Security

  • Love

Safety

Growing up safely should be a human right, and we aim to solve this issue by providing a warm home environment, nutritious meals every day, and a proper shelter to grow up in. The OORHomes project seeks to build a roof and provide safety for those who have no place to call home.

Security

Children living in fear for their safety and security is something we are fighting against. With the development of the orphanage, we will create a safe and loving environment for girls and boys to grow and thrive in.

Love

We will raise our children to be role models for future generations. Through nurturing and love, we will instill values that will make them charitable members of society.

Help us raise the future of Guyana to be leaders and the best version of themselves.
